Content is King – But Relevant Content is Better

You may have heard that content is king, and that is true, up to a point. You want to keep your web site stocked with fresh content on a regular basis to get (and keep) a high search engine ranking, but you also want to make sure that what you do post contains information that is relevant to your site visitors. Making sure that you put up content they will find interesting and helpful is one way to get repeat visitors to your site.

Whether the purpose of your site is to sell a product or a service, the fact is that people are more likely to buy from you if they feel as if they know something about your business first. When you make sure that your content speaks to your site visitors, you are establishing a relationship with them. Tell them to bookmark your site or sign up for your mailing list so you can notify them when your site is updated.

If you make a point of only stocking your site with high-quality content, your site visitors will come to rely on you to give them the information they need to educate them, save them money, or improve their lives in some way. Once you establish your site as the go-to site for your niche market, you can expect sales to increase accordingly.
