CONTENT PROJECT MANAGER

A Purecontent Project Manager plays the essential role at the heart of the company, ensuring that high-quality content is sourced, created, quality checked and delivered to our clients.

Development of Brief – work with the Account Manager to understand the clientʼs order and articulate that into a written brief against which writers, other content providers, and editors will work. Care must be taken to ensure that the brief is a good balance between specifying what the client wants, and not over-specifying the level of work involved, making the job unprofitable to deliver. The Account Manager will ensure the brief is approved by the client. Planning A Project – assess the brief and work out how the job is going to be delivered. Choices will need to be made such as how many content suppliers will be needed, what their experience will need to be, and how much work is allocated to a single supplier

Allocation – divide work into batches and find writers or content creators to produce the work to the client-defined briefs. Negotiation with suppliers on price and timescale may be required but you will need to work within overall cost targets to ensure that your work is being delivered cost effectively Quality checking and editing – ensure preliminary quality checks are made on content that is delivered from suppliers. Manage any external editing or changes to content. Where work does not pass quality checks, negotiate with suppliers to have it reworked.

Delivery – collate work that has been produced, add images or other value-adding content, and deliver it on time to client through their chosen channel (e.g. email, direct website posting, loading on to XML feed) Supplier management – approve supplier payments associated with your projects, checking that what is invoiced has been delivered.
